Katherine— my therapist told me we often find each other’s wounds in relationships. And that made so much sense to me. It certainly does not apply in all cases but does for my husband and me. We both grew up with somewhat dysfunctional families. We have given our two beautiful boys the childhood and loving family structure we both yearned for growing up. I’m proud of our healing and of our family.

She moved away during the pandemic and I miss her DEARLY. We shared a hotel room and on the first night did sheet face masks on the balcony– hers was shiny metallic and mine was a charcoal masked that foamed up in bubbles!! We got the giggles and could. not. stop. laughing. The type of laughing where your stomach and face are in physical pain but you’re so happy you wish it would all last forever.
