I live in northern MN and the weather forecast for the next few days is a little grim – cozy reading for me!
Great reading opportunity on the lanai on the Big Island for 3 weeks– savouring every minute!
This is missing the experience I had yesterday, « bundled on a cold train platform with the sun shining its warmth loudly » – still a good part of spring reading.
I can’t wait for it to be warm enough to do my coffee and morning pages on the back porch!
The ceremonial Mary Oliver reading–yes, indeed!
Waiting for that rainy day for reading read (picked up Oh William! By Elizabeth Strout thanks to Cup of Jo and loving it). I also have that quote by Mary Oliver taped on my computer and recite it to my corporate sales direct reports in their 20’s when they are flailing and think that hitting their quota is all that matters.
A+ managing right there!
Ha, this is gold!
I need to do the annual “digging into my cookbooks to remind myself of tasty things to make in the spring” read. Sort of like spring cleaning but a lot more enjoyable!
This is a good one! I also just started remembering that cooking can be fun again. Amazing what some sunlight and warmth can do to the brain.
Hoping for more spring showers here in CO so I can have a rainy day reading session!
Yes, me too! Looks like we might just be getting some rain this weekend, finally!
I’m reading the new Yoko Ono bio by Sheff on my backyard bench watching for signs of early Spring bulbs. Warmest day so far, looking forward to rhubarb.
I’m so excited for the Yoko bio!!! Enjoy!
It’s raining here in Detroit and I’m thinking of picking this up for a rainy day read:
It hasn’t been quite al fresco weather in New England yet BUT I was in London last week and sat on a bench in the beautiful Kew Gardens (just outside of the city) to read Ina Garten’s memoir. Blissful.
This sounds so dreamy! Beautiful.
